Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 Features
You can feel confident whenever you’re on the road with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This suite of safety features continuously monitors your surroundings and helps keep you and your passengers safe on the road. You’ll have access to features such as:
Proactive Driving Assist – Your vehicle will help you with driving tasks such as distance control and maintaining a certain distance between you and pedestrians, other vehicles, and bicyclists.
Pre-Collision System With Pedestrian Detection – Your vehicle will warn you using an audio and visual forward-collision warning system if a pedestrian, motorcyclist, bicyclist, or vehicle. The vehicle will apply its automatic emergency brakes if corrective action is not detected.
Automatic High Beams – When traveling at speeds above 21 mph, your vehicle will detect the headlights of oncoming vehicles and taillights of proceeding vehicles and automatically toggle between high and low beams accordingly.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) – This adaptive cruise control system can be activated when traveling at speeds above 20 mph and uses the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control system to help you maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of you.
Road Sign Assist – This feature can help you detect road signs such as Do Not Enter signs, certain warning signs, stop signs, speed limit signs, and yield signs and then display them on the Multi-Information Display (MID).
Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist – When traveling at speeds above 30 mph, this feature can detect white/yellow lane markings or certain road-edge boundary lines. If the vehicle detects an unintentional lane change, a warning will alert the driver; then, if corrective action isn’t taken, the vehicle will gently steer back in the lane.
Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) – Your vehicle can help you keep your vehicle centered in the lane when the DRCC is activated, and the Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS) can monitor the driver’s input and if it notices a decrease in driving activity the vehicle prompts the driver to resume driving and if the driver does not respond the vehicle will come to a complete stop under certain conditions.
